Update or Delete an Inventory Item
To edit an inventory item:
- In the Account menu, select Inventory.
- Either click on the Item Code or Item Name of the item you want to edit.
- Click on the Edit Item button.
- Make the required changes and click on the Save button.
Edit your Inventory Adjustments
If you want to make changes in the adjustment you have made then you can edit the Adjustment.
- In the Account menu, select Inventory.
- Scroll down to the Adjustment section.
- Select the status tab where your adjustment is.
- Find and open the adjustment you want to edit.
- Click on the Options dropdown button and select the Edit option.
- Make the required changes to your adjustment.
- Click on the Update button.
View your Inventory Adjustments
You can view your inventory adjustments in Clickentry.
- In the Account menu, select Inventory.
- Scroll down to the Adjustment section.
- From the different status tab, select the one you want to view.
- Click on the Adjustment Number from the list of adjustment.
- You can see the adjustment details.
Delete an Inventory Item
- In the Account menu, select Inventory.
- Select the checkbox next to the inventory items you want to delete.
- Click on the delete button at the top left.
About Deleting Inventory Items
There are certain conditions when you can not delete a tracked inventory item if:
- You have used this on approved bill or approved invoice.
- You have used the inventory item in a spend money or receive money transaction.
- An opening balance is added to it.
- An adjustment is made to it.
If you have used an inventory item on repeating bills or invoices, you can not delete it. First, you have to remove the item from repeating invoice or bill(Link) only then you can delete the item from the Inventory.
The item will no longer display on the inventory list once you have deleted it. And you will not be able to select a deleted item when you are adding or deleting a quote, transaction or purchase order.
Clickentry will remove the item code for the deleted item from:
- The edited transaction of spend money or receive money.
- The edited approved bills, invoices, credit notes, purchase orders, and accepted quotes.
- The invoices, bills, credit notes or debit notes that have a draft status or awaiting approval or sent status and has used this inventory item.
