If there is an unused account then you can remove it by permanently deleting it.
If you no longer need an account then you can Archive it. You can later restore the archived accounts.
How it Works
Deleting an account will permanently remove it from your chart of accounts. You won’t be able to delete an account if you’ve used it in a transaction, even if you have later changed the account used by the transaction or removed the transaction completely.
Clickentry suggests you archive an account that you don’t want to use anymore. It doesn’t make any impact on transactions already entered on the account. You can restore archived accounts.
Locked or system accounts can not be deleted.
